It is flowering time in the vineyard, not big blooms like peonys or even roses, just teeny tiny petals making a halo around each green globe in a bunch .
After a wet June, now the sun is out the vines are growing fast, some canes have grown the full metre from the fruiting wire to the top of the trellis. The vineyard team are busy ‘tucking in’. This involves winding the vine cane upwards through the horizontal trellis wires. About 2000 vines done, only another 6000 to do before we start again!
