Vineyard and Nature Self Guided Trail

Lake with Boat

We love wildlife at Hanwell Wine Estate

Follow our nature trail

Take time out to enjoy nature follow our trail around the vineyard and lake, less than 1km, a leisurely 30 mins stroll.

At Hanwell Wine Estate keeping a balance with nature is essential.  We rely on mother nature for our grape harvest each year, knowing that a good balance ensures no species becomes dominant.  We allow hedgerows to grow high and grasses long for birds, hedgehogs and insects.  In return they help keep the natural balance and protect our grapevines meaning we don’t need to use pest control measures.  We have never used pesticides.

The Vineyard and Nature Self Guided Trail leaflet is available free of charge from the Rural Antics Barn or Lodge lobby or online here Self Guided Trail Guide

Be sure to check open hours before travelling.

Afterwards take a seat on the terrace and enjoy a glass of local wine, fresh coffee and seasonal vegetarian lunch, cheeseboard or slice of cake.   The Hanwell Café Bar is generally open the same hours from May-September.  Sorry the Cafe Bar is closed October to April.
