Frequently Asked Questions about Online Orders

We believe in quality and want our products to arrive with you in perfect condition

We have carefully selected couriers with a good reputation for delivering wine bottles to customers with the greatest of care.  Your order will be placed in strong double walled cardboard boxes with separators and/or padding.

Alternatively, you can come to the vineyard directly to collect your wines.

From order to delivery it’s usually 5 working days.

  • Order ThursdayFriday or Saturday for delivery on Wednesday.
  • Order Sunday for delivery on Thursday
  • Order Monday for delivery on Friday
  • Order Tuesday for delivery on Monday
  • Order Wednesday for delivery on Tuesday

At Christmas when the delivery network is very busy it will be longer, to ensure your wine is with you in time for Christmas please order by 15th December latest.

If your order is late, please use the tracking parcel service, the link and reference number have been sent to you in your shipment confirmation email.

Apologies we do not ship internationally.

Do not return broken bottles.

You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery if you intend to return any product/s.

Please return products to Hanwell Wine Estate, Melton Road, Hickling Pastures, Melton Mowbray LE14 3QG

Return postage must be paid by you in full. Please re-use the packaging the wine arrived in and wrap bottles well.  Please check with your courier before booking that they are prepared to handle glass and alcohol.

Refuse the delivery if you see that the wine bottles have broken in transit.  Take a photo if possible.

Do not return broken bottles.

You must notify us within 24 hours if your wine bottles have been damaged in transit.

If you have already accepted the delivery before discovering the breakages, please take photographs of the packaging both inside and out, including the broken product inside.

Send us the photographs to info@hanwellwine.co.uk, quoting your order reference and detailing the breakages.

We aim to resolve issues within 14 days.

Yes provided you advise us at the time of order.  Ideally in the order details box when the order is placed.  Alternatively please email us info@hanwellwine.co.uk within 3 hours of placing the order.
