Open Studios Notts celebrates the county’s artists, makers and creators through May and June 2019. Artists,makers and creators across Nottinghamshire will again be opening their studios to the public through May and early June 2019 to showcase the county’s strong creative community.
Rural Antics at Hanwell Wine Estate will be holding an exhibit of local artists work in their workshops barn and café for the first time this May and June. Rural Antics hold art, craft and rural skills workshops all year round and already exhibit works from a variety of their tutors. Those who have already experienced Rural Antics workshops will know it’s like attending a “creative spa”. Participants are encouraged to relax as soon as they walk through the door. There’s an Event Host catering for their refreshment needs including a 2 course homemade lunch with local wine. Expert enthusiastic tutors coach participants step by step through the creative process.

Rural Antics at Hanwell Wine Estate’s exhibition is venue 60 in the Open Studios brochure. On Friday 3rd May we will launch the event with artists in residence and Nottinghamshire wine tasting from 1pm-8pm. The exhibition will be open throughout May and June, all the dates are listed here.
Wysall Watercolour Group will be exhibiting, a group of around 20 amateur artists will showcase over 50 artworks both framed and unframed. A range of original greetings cards will be on sale plus artists from the group will be in residence during the first weekend 3, 4, 6th May.

Over 250 artists will be taking part with coverage from Misson in the north of the county to Sutton Bonnington in the south, Brinsley to the west and Thorney in the east.
