Rural Antics Workshops: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a workshop?

You can book workshops online, select the date and add it to your basket, then checkout.

You can visit us and book in person, come and see us at Hanwell Wine Estate, Hickling Pastures, LE14 3QG

Will I be able to maintain social distancing?

It is our priority to provide a safe and healthy environment for attendees, tutors and staff.  We adhere to the latest government guidelines.  If you have a specific concern, please contact us in advance.  For more details our COVID 19 policy click here.

What will I need to bring for the workshop?

For most workshops – just you. All materials are included, however check the workshop details to be sure. An exception is Photography where you’ll need to bring your camera for example.

Can I bring my own materials/ingredients?

If you have something special you would like to use you are most welcome to bring it along.  We can’t guarantee to use it, but will endeavour to include wherever possible.

What should I wear?

Dress in comfortable clothes for your chosen activity, be aware that some activities involving paint or tools may cause damage so practical clothing is recommended.  There may be time spent outdoors so dress for the weather plus add an additional layer as our site is quite windy and so feels cold.  Sensible shoes for rough countryside are advisable.  Often the grass remains wet even when the sun shines, so water resistant is a good idea.

What if a workshop is cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel if the tutor is unwell, there are not enough participants or if the government tells us to. In such cases you will be given the option to transfer to another date, another workshop or receive a refund unless you’ve used a voucher to book.  When a voucher is used to book we have to abide by the voucher terms.

What if I can’t come on the workshop I have booked?

If it’s more than 14 days before the event email us immediately, we can move you to another date, another workshop, you can send a friend in your place or we can provide a full refund, unless it’s booked with a voucher.  When a voucher is used to book we have to abide by the voucher terms.

Within 14 days of the workshop it is not refundable, however we may still be able to move you to another date so get in touch as soon as you can and we’ll see if your request can be accommodated.

I want to come on a workshop but I can’t make the advertised date – What can I do?

Use the waitlist facility online or contact us events@ruralantics.co.uk  We may have another date coming soon.

Or you can organise some friends we can hold a special one-off workshop for you on a mutually agreed date, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.

I have specific physical or mental health requirements; can I still attend a workshop?

We try to include any restrictions in the workshop description. If in doubt please get in touch. We will respect your privacy and would much rather you ask than miss out.

Do I need to bring lunch with me?

No.  All refreshments are included throughout the day.  For full day workshops a 2-course seasonal lunch is provided.

Can you accommodate my specific food requirements?

We provide balanced nutritious meals. If you have specific allergies or intolerances please let us know at time of booking or at the latest 3 days in advance, please email events@ruralantics.co.uk
