Welcome to Rural Antics, located within Hanwell Wine Estate, Nottinghamshire .

Here at Hanwell Wine Estate, we love hosting Rural Antics workshops!

They enable us to open up the wonderful countryside setting of our vineyard to you, giving us all the opportunity to get closer to nature.

Hand-making great wine is a real craft and Rural Antics provides a space for us to involve interested people in our wine-making, alongside other artisan past times, such as chair weaving, foraging and painting.

On arrival you will be greeted with a choice of teas or freshly ground coffee.  At lunch time there’s a plentiful home-made buffet and dessert, served with a glass of Nottinghamshire wine.  Special dietary requirements are catered for, so please mention at time of booking.

Obelisk Willow Weaving

Spend a relaxing day with us and learn the techniques of weaving with willow. Get hands on and make your own birdfeeder and Obelisk structure perfect for climbing plants. Enamelling Workshop

Here is your chance to have a go at enamelling! Spend a day being creative and learn a new craft, enamelling is so satisfying and by the end of the day you will have made two wonderful pieces, choose from 2 jewellery items or a plaque.  All materials and refreshments are provided. Beginners Animal Portraiture

Would you like to learn to draw a picture of your favourite animal? Award-winning professional photographer, Chris England will be hosting a one day workshop focused on helping you capture striking photographs with any type of digital camera. Are you ready to get back to nature and experience the amazing textures, tastes and flavours the countryside has to offer? This is the perfect workshop for you. Paper Cutting for Beginners

Join us for a relaxing morning learning the art of the recently popular craft; paper cutting. By the end of your session you will have created a wonderful picture and gathered the skills to carry on your new found hobby.
