Have you ever wanted to know more about the wonderful world of wines? Hanwell Wine Estate offers the ideal setting and surroundings for you to gain your WSET Level 1 qualification, what better way than in a vineyard! Our full qualified teacher Amanda Rowley has an infectious passion for wine and will share with you her knowledge, experience and prepare you for your assessment to gain your qualification.
By the end of your training you will: understand the main styles of wines, the principles of food and wine pairing, common wine grapes and their characteristics and how to describe wine using the ‘WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine (SAT)
The workshop is the ideal starting point for people who have an interest in wine, wine enthusiasts and people in the food service industry.

About Amanda Rowley – WSET-Dip
Amanda is the Training Director of Defining Wine Ltd, a company specialising in Wine Events and Education she started with her business partner and fellow wine lover, Andrew Rickwood in 2015.
Defining Wine is an Approved Programme Provider for the prestigious Wine and Spirit Education Trust and in 2017, Amanda successfully took over 200 delegates through WSET courses, starting from complete novices at level 1 through to industry professionals at Level 3. Spending 5 years working through the WSET qualification she gained her Diploma in Wines & Spirit then became an accredited trainer with WSET. In addition to running WSET courses, Amanda spends times travelling around the world, visiting wine regions (it’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it!) and is a judge on the International Wine and Spirits Competition panel.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 12.
