Hand Embroidered Necklace Workshop

Spend your day making something beautiful and unique at this one of a kind, hand embroidered necklace workshop. Working in our cosy craft barn take time to relax, admiring the beautiful views of Nottinghamshire rolling countryside. Treat yourself to a hand embroidered necklace to match your favourite outfit or treat a friend with a handmade gift for Christmas. Our expert tutor Michaela will guide you through step by step and assist you to in tailor making your piece of jewellery to suite you. Choose from a range of styles and stiches including battlement couching (as shown in image), simple florals or a more abstract design. You will learn the stitches needed for your chosen design and how to mount you mini embroidery into a pendant fixing. Finish your piece off by covering and decorating the perfect presentation box for your new necklace.
Ideal for complete beginners, no experience or skill required.
What you will learn:
- A selection of stitches to choose from to customise your necklace
- How to mount your embroidery into a pendant fixing
- The art of decorating your presentation box
What you will get:
- All tools and materials for the job (hoop, needle and threads) are provided and you can take them home to continue your newly learn skills.
- Refreshments served to you throughout the day with snacks, 2 course homemade lunch served with a glass of local wine.
- By the end of the day you will have completed you own beautiful necklace pendant including chain ready to wear.

About Michaela Bere your tutor
Michaela is an exceptionally gifted and talented craftswoman whose philosophy in life is to ‘live the life you imagine’. A Textile Artist who works mainly in Hand Embroidery and Book binding, she is drawn to hand work, using few tools.
A Fashion Design Graduate, Michaela now favours hand stitching over machine to make embroidered jewellery, hand-bound books and embroidered sketches, which she sells online and in shops. An excellent teacher of the craft, Michaela has run and taught workshops for 10 years along with weekly stitch clubs in Lincoln.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 8.
