An unmissable day open fire cooking in the beautiful surroundings of Hanwell Wine Estate.
Spend your day learning one of the most valuable bushcraft skills – fire lighting and cooking. Our expert bushcraft tutor Martin Rollin will teach you different fire lighting methods and how to build your fire in your fire pit, ready to use for cooking. Using a Dutch oven frying pans and griddles you will then learn how to make and cook bread along with a nettle pesto served with pasta. If not full with delicious food you wrap your day up baking cakes and steaming puddings on the open fire.
Learning new skills and survival methods, you will take away valuable tips, trick and knowledge along with having a fun enjoyable day trying new things. Nothing beats cooking on an open fire, enjoying the outdoors and getting back to nature.

Martin is an expert in teaching bushcraft skills. Formerly Head of Outdoor Education for Lincolnshire’s Teaching and Learning Centres. He now owns and manages his own outdoor-focused business. His knowledge of outdoor survival and wood carving is exceptional.
