Eglantine Mead has a reputation for being one of the most authentic honey drinks in the country. It has a rich honey nose, a smooth feel on the palate and the delicious lingering flavour. Made only from honey, water and yeast, it’s a decadent accompaniment to dessert. Drink anytime; especially loved by re-enactors! Keeps exceptionally well once opened.

From our parent vineyard – Eglantine Vineyard in Nottinghamshire – this  is simply made using honey collected from the bee hives on the vineyard.

Dietary:  Vegetarian (no animal products but does contain honey)

Serving Suggestions: This mead is a decadent accompaniment to dessert or a sweet treat such as birthday cake, cheesecake or carrot cake.

To enhance the flavours of this wine we recommend it is served well chilled, between 6 – 8oC.

Storage:  The winemaker recommends this wine should be enjoyed within 1-2 years.  This wine keeps exceptionally well once opened, up to 3 months if kept in the fridge.
