I was introduced to Bobbin Lace just after my seventh birthday, and soon got involved in the Nottingham Bobbin lace Society – Young Lace makers and Calverton Young Lace makers; which involved taking part in the English Lace School John Bull Trophy where the Calverton Young Lace makers won the Poole Trophy. The entry was a banner to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the invention of the stocking frame machine, by Rev William Lee of Calverton. Bobbin lace is a traditional textile made by braiding and twisting lengths of thread, which are wound on a bobbin and worked on a pillow with pins.
In additional to making items for my small business I also do variety of workshops, taster sessions and talks on variety of crafts and techniques.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 8.
