Brushed Lettering for Beginners Workshop
Friday 7th February | 1.00pm – 3.30pm
Spend an afternoon learning the wonderful art of Brushed Lettering. Relax in our craft barn and be inspired by the beautiful surrounding views of Nottinghamshire’s rolling countryside. Guided by our exceptionally talented tutor Nikki Whiston, she will teach you the techniques step by step for you to use the brush pen, so by the end of your session you will be writing short quotes using your beautiful letters.
The perfect way to spend your afternoon, learning a new craft and discovering a new passion.
This workshop is perfect for all levels of ability, no experience needed. All materials, tools and light refreshments are included in the workshop price so you don’t need to bring anything, just yourself. You will also be able to keep your brush pen so you can continue your new found skill at home.
Suitable for children 13 years +, must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Outline of your session
1.00pm Arrival and enjoy light refreshments
1.05pm Welcome and introduction to your tutor, Nikki
Be inspired by what you are about to learn
Shown the tools, materials and techniques and start practicing
2.15pm Refreshments with a snack
3.30pm Time for home with your fabulous new found skill, brush pen and worksheets
Please note – All materials are included in the workshop price, however additional calligraphy supplies are available to purchase direct from Nikki at the end of the workshop.
About Nikki Whiston
An accomplished Calligraphy artist, Nikki works with a variety of lettering styles working with ink, brushes, paint pens and nibs. Her preference is to work by hand rather than digitally to ensure a more nature, fluid look.
Running regular workshops she also specialises in hand painted signage, wedding stationary, greeting card design and window art.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 14.
