Bring a small motorhome, caravan or tent to stay on the grass paddock. Book using this the Adult Overnight Stay and add “Child Overnight Stay” as required.

This can also be used to pay for additional people on a Hardstanding Pitch.  A Hardstanding Pitch already includes 2 people.

When you’re attending an event at Hanwell (which may involve wine drinking) we invite you to park up a motorhome, caravan or pitch a tent.

Choose from:

Hardstanding Pitch (2 available) for motorhome or caravan with electric hook up for up to 2 people.  Book extra people by using the “Adult Overnight Stay” and “Child Overnight Stay

Site Guidelines:

 Hardstanding

 pitch for

 motorhome

  • Concrete pitch, with electric hook up via standard household 3 pin plug into outdoor socket.
  • Located behind the barns.
  • Only 2 motorhome pitches available each night.
  • Up to 2 people and electric hook up are included in the Hardstanding Pitch Fee.
  • For additional people please pay in addition the Adult Overnight Stay or Child Overnight Stay.

 Car Parking
  • Cars may be parked next to you on the grass.
 Group Bookings
  • When booking online groups should reference names of other group members in the additional information box so you can be positioned together.
 Wash and toilet

 Facilities

  • There are no shower or wash facilities.
  • There are 2 unisex toilets with small hand wash basins.  One toilet cubicle contains the disabled toilet and baby change table.
 Special Requests
  • Let us know of any special requests such as a late arrival time (after 4pm), by completing the additional information box.
  • If we have any queries, or cannot meet these requests, we will let you know.
 Day Visitors
  • Day visitors are welcome but must leave by 9pm.
  • The guest making the booking is responsible for ensuring that any day visitors observe the above regulation, along with our booking terms and conditions.
 Barbeques
  • Not permitted
 Open fires
  • No fires – no burning of wood or fire logs is permitted under any circumstances.  No fireworks.
 Noise curfew
  • Please no noise after 10.00pm
 Wine sales
  • Usually available until 4pm, sometimes later if there is an event on.
  • We are licensed to supply alcohol for consumption on and off the premises Monday to Sunday from 10am until midnight.
  • We reserve the right to limit these hours.
  • We operate “Challenge 25” so if you are lucky enough to look under 25 please bring proof of age.
  • We will not serve those we deem to be intoxicated.
 Drinking water
  • All taps are connected to the mains.  We suggest you use those in the stable block and run the tap before taking drinking water.
 Children
  • Children 4 or under may stay free of charge.
  • The Child Overnight Stay Fee applies for all those 5-17 years old.
  • 18+ year olds should pay the Adult Overnight Stay Fee
  • All those 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult over 25 years old.
 Safety
  • There is a deep-water lake at the South-Westerly end of the Vineyard.
  • We recommend all children are accompanied near water.
  • The lake is out of bounds from dusk to dawn.
  • The vineyard has horizontal wires supporting the vines at about 90cms off the ground.  Young children should be supervised as they tend not to see them.
  • This is the Countryside, the ground is uneven, there are bees, wasps, nettles, thistles and more.  Please take care.
  • There are animal water troughs in the camping field, these contain water.  Children must be supervised as there is a risk of drowning.
 Emergency
  • In an emergency please call the Emergency Services by dialling 999.
  • We are located: Hanwell Wine Estate, Hickling Pasture, LE14 3QG.
  • There is a defibrillator at the bus stop, exit the estate by main entrance, turn right, it’s about 500m.  Take a phone as you’ll need to speak to the Emergency Services to obtain a release code.
 Litter
  • Please take all litter away when you depart.
 Departure
  • By 12pm the next day.
